Materials Specialist (South Amboy, NJ):

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Asia and USA.

• Assist in producing and providing high quality ready-to-assemble (RTA) cabinets.

• Design the product test and quality control of processing procedures.

• Evaluate material performance, conduct tests on raw materials or finished products to ensure quality.

• Evaluate technical specifications and determine appropriate methods for fabricating and joining materials.

• Provide guidance to vendor in developing materials for specific uses in projected products.

• Make recommendations for material selection based on design objectives such as strength, weight, heat resistance, electrical conductivity, and cost.

• Communicate design and test plan expectations to vendors to ensure successful product quality outcomes.  

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in materials engineering, materials science or related field, 2 years of experience in job offered. Solid knowledge of materials structure and properties, strong skills in materials analysis and selection, development, test and problem-solving.
